Congratulations to Emma Broughall (née Allen) (OK 1986-1991) for becoming the 800th member of the Old Kellettonians network! We sent her a small memento of the School to celebrate. Emma joined Kellett in 1986. She remembers staying on the Huan, a ship that took Hong Kong schoolchildren on seafaring adventures: “I remember getting bitten to death by mosquitoes in the night and enjoying the sunshine, and jumping into the sea off the flying fox in the day.”
She now lives in the UK but remembers Hong Kong fondly: “Hong Kong holds a special place in my heart and I still think of it as home. My husband also went to secondary school in Hong Kong like me, so we spend a lot of our holidays bringing our children there as much as possible. They love it in Hong Kong, too."
Below are some pictures of Emma from her time at school and the gift.
