The old planters have been cleared, and we’ve added rich soil and wood chips to create the perfect foundation. Plus, new water pipes have been installed evenly throughout the area to keep everything hydrated.
We’ve just planted Chinese radish, carrot, basil seeds, and more in separate blocks, ensuring a diverse and vibrant garden. 🌱😊 The rest of the planters are now ready for replanting, and we can’t wait to see our beautiful community garden come to life! 🌸🌼
Additionally, a series of 12 co-farming sessions focused on organic farm management is planned for students and staff during Term 1. A new extra curriculum activity (ECA), Rooftop Garden welcomes students from Year 3 onwards to join. They will learn to be green thumbs while planting, gardening, and nurturing our green space! A huge thank you to K² for funding this initiative.
Below are images of the Community Garden.
