We are thrilled to announce that the next Elliott Lecture speaker is Craig Foster, star of the Oscar-winning documentary and Netflix hit, 'My Octopus Teacher'!
Craig Foster is a passionate conservationist, who will be speaking to the Kellett Community about ocean conservation, as well as his experience making the documentary 'My Octopus Teacher' (watch the trailer below).
In 2020, 'My Octopus Teacher' took the world by storm, as Craig's story of befriending a wild octopus in his homeland of South Africa was aired on Netflix. Foster's documentary was incredibly well-received, winning a host of international awards including a BAFTA for Best Documentary, and eventually winning an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2021.
The Elliott Lecture will take place on 26 May 2022, at (GMT +8)/ GMT 11am / BST 12 noon/ 7am New York Time.
